Who we are
The Only Pair is the pre-owned footwear shop of My Downloaded Closet, operated by MD Load LLC, PO Box 340311, Tampa, FL 33694. In this policy, "we" and "us" mean The Only Pair.
What we collect
When you sign up for size alerts, we collect:
- Your email address (required) and first name (optional).
- Your shoe preferences: fit, sizes, width, lowest grade, styles, favorite brands and preferred place to buy.
- If you add someone you shop for, their nickname, fit and size. Please only add a nickname, not their full name or contact details.
- Basic email activity, such as whether an alert was opened or a link was clicked, which our email provider records automatically.
We do not collect payment details. Purchases happen on Depop, eBay, Poshmark or Mercari, under each platform's own privacy policy.
How we use it
- To match newly listed pairs to your sizes and preferences and email you when they go live.
- To confirm your sign-up and send occasional notices about the alert service itself.
- To understand which alerts are useful, so we can send fewer, better ones.
Who else handles it
We use a small number of service providers to run the alerts: an email service provider that stores the list and sends the emails, and an automation tool that matches new listings to subscribers. They may process your information only to provide these services to us. We do not share your information with anyone else unless the law requires it.
Cookies
This site does not set cookies. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. Our email provider may record whether an alert was opened or a link was clicked.
How long we keep it
We keep your information while you are subscribed. If you unsubscribe, we keep only your email address on a suppression list so we do not email you again by mistake. Ask us to delete everything and we will.
Your choices
- Unsubscribe: use the link at the bottom of any email.
- Update: submit the sign-up form again with the same email, or use "What am I signed up for?" on the sign-up page to get your current settings by email.
- See or delete your info: send us a note through our contact form and we will respond within 30 days.
Security
Your information is stored with our email provider, which uses industry-standard security. Only we can access the list. No system is perfectly secure, but we keep what we collect to a minimum.
Children
Size alerts are for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has signed up, contact us and we will remove them.
Changes to this policy
If we make a meaningful change, we will update the date above and let subscribers know by email.
